50 Jobs That AI Will Replace In The Next 5 Years

50 Jobs That AI Will Replace In The Next 5 Years

I have been digging into AI in a big way over the last few months and see its vast potential. I really can see the two sides; why people are afraid of it and why it is so exciting. You will hear about programs like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Lensa Dall E and Boomy.

One area of AI I am interested in is its impact on the workforce. Particularly jobs that AI will replace.

When I dug into some of the jobs AI will replace, it took me down a rabbit hole and both scared and excited me.

Will Doctors be replaced by AI?

For instance, I thought about doctors or, rather, General Practitioners. We go to the doctor when we have an ailment, either a new one or an ongoing one. The doctor uses their vast knowledge gained at practising for years and from their studies at universities, and also from a history that has been built up with their patients.

When we break it down, doctors work on knowledge. Aside from building up a relationship with their Knowledge gained from studying, ongoing knowledge with keeping up to date with the latest practices and historical knowledge, it's all stored information in the doctor's head and the doctor's notes which are usually kept on a computer.

Well, that's what AI is: Artificial intelligence leverages computers and machines to mimic the problem-solving and decision-making capabilities of the human mind. Unlike doctors, AI will be able to draw from a vast amount of data gathered and stored from other patients, locally and around the world. In effect they will be much more efficient at diagnosing and treating patients.

Scary isn't it? or is it?

I dug some more and thought I would list 50 jobs and careers that AI could replace over the next 5 years.

Conclusion

AI has the potential to transform many different fields and industries, making certain jobs more efficient and freeing up humans to focus on tasks that require creativity, emotional intelligence, and complex problem-solving skills. However, it is essential to note that AI is not expected to replace all jobs completely, as many tasks are uniquely human and cannot be automated. Instead, AI will likely augment many jobs and allow people to work more efficiently rather than completely replacing them. It is also possible that adopting AI in the workplace could lead to creating new types of jobs that do not currently exist.
