Homemade Ginger Oil – RECIPE & USE


Ginger extract can be use both in your diet and your home and when applied topically it promotes circulation and relieves aches and pains.

In food it :
  • helps digestion,
  • clear up diarrhea,
  • treat indigestion, morning sickness, and nausea!


Uses:
  1. add 2-3 drops in a diffuser and inhale to boost your energy levels and revitalize your mind, soul, and body.
  2. put a drop on your abdomen and gently massage – this will relieve diarrhea and gas.
  3. put couple drops in your hot bath or on a hot or cold compress and then place it on the painful areas
  4. inhale with vaporizer to relieve runny nose, sinusitis, and sore throat.
  5. 2-3 drops in an ounce of carrier oil is a great combination to make massage that will relieve arthritis, backache, fractures, muscle pain, rheumatism, revitalize your libido and stimulate your circulatory system.

Make your own ginger oil:
  • You need
  • Fresh ginger
  • 1½ c olive oil
  • Oven-safe bowl
  • Cheese grater

Preparation:
  1. rinse a cup of fresh ginger, including the skin
  2. let i dry for a couple of hours
  3. pour olive oil into an oven-safe bowl
  4. chop ginger
  5. use cheese grater to shred.
  6. add to olive oil
  7. mix
  8. put the mixture in the oven
  9. let it simmer under low heat (150 degrees Fahrenheit) for 2 hours
  10. pour the mixture through an unbleached cheese cloth to filter it and eliminate the bits of ginger
  11. squeeze out the remaining oil from the cheese cloth
  12. transfer the ginger oil into bottles
  13. keep in a cool and dry place,
  14. you can use it up to 6 months.

Side Effects of Ginger Oil
– avoid using ginger oil if you have any sensitivity to ginger root.
– other side effects are L nausea, heartburn, sores in the mouth and skin rashes .

Note:
– Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using ginger oil
– young children are not allowed to use it at all
– consult your physician in a case you are taking some medications
– if you have sensitive skin are recommended to do a skin patch test before they decide to use ginger oil
– donot to apply ginger oil on skin areas that will be exposed to the sun within 24 hours after application because ginger oil may be phototoxic.
