Also, this protein works with other immune system cells to identify and assist in destroying certain bacteria and viruses. These other immune cells need the iron in the sacha inchi to proliferate and mature in order to fight off diseases.
Combats inflammation
It can help to combat the inflammation due to its Omega – 3 fatty acids. These healthy cells can help to prevent the inflammation by blocking the formation of the compounds which promote it. We know that the majority of our brain is composed of fat and this means that we need healthy fats from food sources, like sacha inchi to build brain cell membrane, nourish our brain cells and fight against inflammation. Omega – 3 fatty acids can boost the cognitive function and protect against brain disorders, such as depression and dementia. When the inflammation is reduced, Omega – 3 fatty acids can reduce the fatigue, memory loss and brain fog.
Builds muscles
It has more protein than almonds, walnuts and cashews. It is one of the best sources of complete protein and it has all 8 essential amino acids which our bodies cannot create. We know that the protein is important part of every cell in the body. It can help to develop, repair and maintain lean muscle mass. It is 30% protein by weight, higher than many nuts and seeds. Also, it has huge amount of iron which can help muscles to keep their tone and elasticity because it provides oxygen for the contraction of muscles.
Enhances mood
It is rich in tryptophan which is a precursor for serotonin. It is known as happy hormone and it is a neurotransmitter which is supposed to stabilize the mood and contribute to a sense of happiness and well – being. Also, it is rich in Omega – 3 fatty acids which can help in the fight against brain inflammation. When the sacha inchi is combating the inflammation, then the nutritive seed can help to combat mood shifts, headaches and even depression.
