Tooth decay is the primary cause of toothaches for most children and adults. Bacteria that live in your mouth thrive on the sugars and starches in the food you eat. These bacteria form a sticky plaque that clings to the surface of your teeth.
Salt and pepper have powerful anti-bacterial properties. They have the ability to calm and relieve toothache. Simply make glue-like toothpaste with equal portion of regular table salt and pepper. Apply this remedy on the infected tooth and let it act for a couple of minutes.
Swish 2 tbsps of oil for 15-20 minutes on an empty stomach. Do this for a few days to get rid of bad breath and yellow teeth. This will reduce the tooth infection as well.
Crush a garlic clove or take some garlic powder. Mix it with table salt and apply directly to the painful area. For best results, you can chew one or two garlic cloves. Repeat the procedure for few days.

Onions have powerful antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Simply chew a raw onion for few minutes to get relief.
Bite 2 or 3 guava leaves. Also you can infuse guava leaves in boiling water with some salt in it. Use this as a mouth wash.
Add few drops of mustard oil to half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Apply this thick paste and let it act for 15 minutes before spitting it. Repeat the procedure regularly to relieve the pain.
Bite some fresh peppermint leaves right on the problem area. If you cannot find fresh leaves, you can use dried ones too.
Black tea can reduce swelling and help you with a temporary relief due to presence of astringent tannis.
