The most regal condiment is ketchup. Unfortunately, high-fructose corn syrup is an ingredient in the majority of commercial ketchup varieties. Consuming HFCS results in a significant rise in blood sugar levels and lacks any true nutritional value. Because it is less expensive than sugar and increases the shelf life of processed foods, it is widely used.
Ketchup also contains a significant amount of sugar. Often, even organic brands have dubious ingredients. Thus, the best option is to make your own homemade ketchup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic tomato paste
- 1 tbsp raw organic honey
- 1 tbsp raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 cup water

Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl, and enjoy!
