Apple Cider Vinegar
You can buy Apple Cider Vinegar at any grocery store. To get rid of underarm odor, put some ACV in a spray bottle with a little water and a splash of lemon juice. Spray that under your arms every morning and let it dry before you get dressed. If you need to reapply during the day you can keep a small spray bottle in your desk at work, in your purse, or in your bag. The good bacteria in the ACV will keep your skin balanced and get rid of bacteria that causes underarm odor.
Stop Shaving
Getting rid of underarm odor can be simple as letting your armpit hair grow out. Body hair is there for a reason, and shaving it off can create problems. When you use shaving creams and lotions that are chemical based they can irritate the skin. Even soap can irritate skin. Razors or depilatory creams can also irritate the skin and allow bacteria to grow. Letting your armpit hair grow takes care of the problem naturally. Your hair will absorb the moisture that can cause bacteria and underarm odor.
Baking Soda
You probably already use baking soda to get rid of odors in your refrigerator or in your laundry, so why not use it to get rid of underarm odor too? Baking soda is gentle and natural. Mix a little baking soda with a little cornstarch to make a light powder that will keep you dry and smelling fresh all day. Apply it before you get dressed and as often as needed throughout the day.
Use a Natural Soap
Cleaning your armpits and the rest of your body with a natural soap instead of a chemical based soap can help eliminate underarm odor. Making your own soap is easy and fun to do, but if you don’t want to make your own soap make sure that you buy a natural handmade soap that is made from soothing goat’s milk. Or you can use castile soap which is a gentle natural soap.
Alcohol
Alcohol is a natural disinfectant that can be used for many purposes, including getting rid of underarm odor. Be sure to use an odorless alcohol like vodka so that you don’t smell like alcohol. When you are getting dressed mist some alcohol under your arms and let it dry. It will kill bacteria and odor.
Tea Tree Oil
Essential oils are gentle on the skin but can solve a wide range of skin problems including underarm odor. Tea Tree Oil is a natural essential oil that has been used for hundreds of years as an antibacterial and antifungal agent. To get rid of underarm odor and make your underarms smell pleasant, mix a few drops of Tea Tree Oil into some natural rosewater and spray under your arms.
Hydrogen Peroxide
Another household staple, Hydrogen Peroxide, can also be a good way to keep underarm odor from happening. Peroxide can be a little irritating to the skin so mix it with water or with natural rosewater and then wipe down your underarms with the mixture.
Lemon
Lemon is another common item used to get rid of household odors. It can get rid of underarm odor too. Lemon changes the Ph level of the skin so if unbalanced Ph is causing odor lemon can solve the problem. Just put a slice of lemon under each arm for 15 minutes in the morning to get rid of odor all day.
