We frequently see advertisements for sports beverages loaded with electrolytes, such Gatorade and Power Ade, featuring numerous well-known athletes. However, the general public is mainly concerned with one issue: how healthy are these energy drinks?
Even though electrolyte energy drinks can keep the body's electrolyte balance during or after periods of intense activity, they really cause more harm than good. However, you should be aware that when you purchase these kinds of energy drinks, you are really purchasing sugar water in vibrant colors.
Consuming refined and processed sweeteners, such as high-fructose corn syrup found in sports drinks, is unhealthy. Despite the fact that artificial flavors and colors do not hurt your body, nobody wants to consume "fake" items.
You should be aware that the majority of businesses who advertise these products are merely attempting to get you to purchase their product even though you do not require it. These drinks are consumed by athletes because they engage in strenuous, lengthy workouts.
However, we advise against consuming them at all if you are not a professional athlete and merely engage in a fifteen-minute morning workout program because they will do you absolutely no good. You should also be aware that our bodies are intelligent since they keep an electrolyte balance by drinking enough of water and eating a balanced diet.
If you want to undertake a more intense workout, you can brew your own sports drink. The procedure is incredibly basic and uncomplicated. In addition, the home-brewed energy drinks might be incredibly cooling for your body.

Why do we need electrolytes?
Do you know what are electrolytes and why do we need them? Do you know why they are so important for your body?
There are so many things that I can say about electrolytes but I know that you do not have the time, but if you have, I can send you a copy. The present electrolytes in our bodies are calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium chloride, hydrogen phosphate (mineral) and hydrogen carbonate (salt).
However, there are many electrolytes out there.
If we do not have electrolytes or if we do not dilute them properly, we will have consequences that are dangerous to our life. The result of these types of problems can be death by “water poisoning”. The nerves and the muscle function, our hydration, the pH of our blood can be regulated with the electrolytes.
Besides that, they are able to rebuild damaged tissue and determinate the blood pressure. For example, you need the electrolyte such as calcium, sodium and potassium if you want the muscles to contract- from your heart to the tiniest toe muscle.
The muscle becomes weak when there is a small amount of electrolytes but on the other hand, when they are too much they over contract.
If you have a balanced diet, you will provide your body with electrolytes. However, you will start to lose electrolytes by sweating during strenuous exercise. When you are ill or pregnant, you need extra means to get electrolytes
. If you want to consume drinks that are rich in electrolytes, we recommend you to do them by yourself. Your body will be very thankful!
