What type of soap do you use? Today, many people use antibacterial soaps which are supposed to destroy bacteria and germs and protect your health. But, these soaps contain chemicals which are proved to be carcinogenic and cause more harm than good.
Namely, recent studies have proved that many cosmetic and beauty products, including antibacterial soap contain chemicals, such as triclosan and triclocarban.
Kyung-Chul Choi was lead researcher in South Korea at the National University and the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology and along with his colleagues from Chungbuk he conducted a study about the effects of triclosan and triclocarban on the hormonal system.
It is proved that triclosan is hormone disruptor. Other research proved that it imitates estrogen and that results in adversely affects the production and the activities of other known hormones such ash testosterone.
There are separate studies which have proved that triclosan has negative impact on the endocrine system and causes abnormal cellular formation and it is proved that it causes breast cancer.
Tests conducted on animals showed that the EDCs were very high in both daily and long term exposure.
Octylphenol Is Equally Carcinogenic
Octylphenol is antibacterial compound and it was scientifically proved that it causes abnormal cellar growth.
Both, octylphenol and triclosan significantly increase the growth of abnormal cells.
There are many separate studies which proved that triclosan and triclocarban are causative agents for many ailments and health issues including endocrine disruption, skin irritation, bacterial and compounded antibiotic resistance etc.
Beyond Pesticides and the Environmental Working Group (EWG) are
groups of people who inform people on the dangers of triclosan. Namely,
these groups try to bring to light the fact that triclosan is an
endocrine-disturbing synthetic (EDC). It is important to mention that
they have petitioned the FDA to prohibit the use of this chemical in
soap production as well as other cosmetic products.
