These foods are not just metabolism boosting and fat burning, they also contain some health benefits that can also increase your lifespan by fighting deadly diseases.

Let’s first take a look at why we need to eat these foods.

9 Metabolism Boosting Foods YOU MUST EAT For Fat Burning

Why You Need To Boost Your Metabolism

You see those people that seem to eat anything without gaining weight. And when you ask them for their workout routine in hopes of getting some secret they end up saying things like “maybe it’s my genes because I hardly workout”

Those people have 1 thing in common, their metabolism is fast.

This is what you used to experience when you were younger (if you’re over 30 years of age) because your body was at it’s prime.

As you age, your body becomes less and less effective when it comes to metabolism.

Luckily, there are some foods that can help bring that effectiveness back so let’s jump into it.

9 Metabolism Boosting Foods For Weight Loss

#1 Grapefruit

Grapefruit is one of those foods packed with Vitamin C and also contains an anti-inflammatory agent. This means that it can also fight inflammation.

If you combine avocado, grapefruit, and salad greens you would be creating a perfect delicious grapefruit and avocado salad.

I’ve already tried this and it is to die for according to me. Although I’m still doing some other combinations with the grapefruit the one that I still love the most is the one with avocados.

#2 Apples

As you may already know, apples are one of the most popular fruits on earth and for a good reason too.

Apples are highly nutritious since they contain Vitamin C, Fiber, and Potassium which are very good for your health.

What takes the point is the Pectin found within them which is a good source of fiber. The Pectin regulates your blood sugar levels and also gives you a good metabolism boost.

#3 Eggs

Another metabolism-boosting food is an egg. Yep, protein-rich foods like eggs can boost your metabolism.

Like I said, eggs are rich in protein with each large boiled egg containing about 6.3g.

Research shows that protein is a very effective nutrient for boosting metabolism rate for a good reason too. Since protein requires more energy to digest than carbohydrates and fats.

Getting yourself a Hard-Boiled Egg Diet Plan is a good idea, especially if you want to get fast results.

#4 Cinnamon

Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices because of the benefits it has. It contains some serious anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

It also contains antioxidants and fiber which means that it can help regulate your blood sugar levels and also improve your insulin sensitivity.

These things are very crucial when it comes to boosting and maintaining metabolism.

What I like to do is to create a weight loss drink that contains this beloved spice and drink it occasionally to help maintain my metabolism.

The recipe is available in this post. Some of my readers have reported losing a ton of weight just using this Cinnamon drink.

#5 Chilli Peppers

Another spice that can help you feel fuller for a very long period of time is chili peppers.

This healthy spice has a compound called Capsaicin which is responsible for boosting metabolism.

This metabolism-boosting chili pepper also has other health benefits. The capsaicin compound can also help manage your body weight by increasing the speed at which your body burns excess fat.

Capsaicin is also known to be able to reduce inflammation and pain.

#6 Flaxseeds

Another protein-rich food is flaxseed. These bad boys are full of Vitamins, Proteins, and other key nutrients and it’s considered to be a functional food.

Buy functional food I mean that this type of food is mostly consumed by people for the health benefits it has.

The flaxseeds are often consumed to fight conditions that contribute to obesity, and cardiovascular disease.

They are also able to boost your metabolism and improve the condition that contributes to diabetes called metabolism syndrome.

#7 Broccoli

I’ve been eating broccoli for a very long period of time without knowing that it can also help me boost my metabolism.

Broccoli is one of those foods that are packed with calcium like dairy products such as milk and cheese.

Calcium is known to be able to speed up metabolism. It is also known to be a great source of Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Potassium, and Fiber.

Mixing it in your day to day recipe wouldn’t be such a bad idea because it contains a lot of health benefits.

As for me, I really love to spice things up, and getting a highly nutritious meal every now and then is one of my favorite things to do on a weekly basis.

I know we cannot completely ignore the unhealthy foods but if we mix things up, we end up having a balanced diet.

#8 Green Tea

When it comes to green tea, I’ve heard a lot about its benefits. I have also seen some of them in action and one of those benefits is metabolism boost.

Green tea is known to be able to increase metabolism whilst you exercise and when you’re not exercising.

Other health benefits of drinking green tea include the following:

  • Fighting Cancer Effects
  • Heart and Oral Health
  • Anti-inflammatory Effects
  • Antioxidants

There are other teas other than green tea which contain the same health benefits and more.

#9 Whole Grains

There is this misconception that when you want to boost your metabolism you have quit eating bread.

That couldn’t be further from the truth. What you need to know is that your body needs carbs, whole grains such as whole wheat grains, oats, and fiber.

These foods keep your body working longer because they take a lot of time to process. This results in having stable blood sugar levels and your body working hard to burn fat.
