Your Physical And Emotional Health Can Be Known By The Time You Wake Up At

Our sleep is regulated by the circadian rhythm which is our internal clock. It makes sure that we get our six to eight hours of sound sleep. But sometimes we suddenly wake up in the middle of the night.

Why you're waking up at the same time

It can be caused by the honking car or due to someone walking around the house. It is normal. But Traditional Chinese Medicine says that if you are awake at the same time every night, there are some issues. It generally happens when the internal clock is disrupted.

Here are the problems associated with waking up during these five periods.

9 P.M.-12 P.M.: Endocrine System

Our endocrine system takes care of the body’s hormonal balance. This is the perfect time to fall asleep, says TCM acupuncturist Monda Dan. You’ll naturally sleep during this time if your hormones are balanced. But if not, you’ll have difficulty in falling asleep. It may be due to high levels of cortisol which stresses us, keeping us awake. Meditation can help you out with this problem.

11 P.M- 1 A.M.: Gall Bladder

Bile is stored in the gall bladder that is placed right under your liver. It is important for fat digestion and to retain the nutrients. Even our self- esteem and decision- making abilities can be affected by it. If you’re awake during this time, you may very well be facing low self-confidence levels. Your waking up at this time also indicates the same thing. Mantras can help you.

1 A.M.- 3 A.M.: Liver

Our energy or Qi flows smoothly due to our liver. So, if the liver is afflicted, it may lead to you getting angry at even small matters. If you’ve suppressed anger during the day then you might wake up during this period. Have a glass of water and calm down.

3 A.M.- 5 A.M.: Lungs

Lungs are vital for both energy flow and our immunity. Lungs are the creator of our emotions so, any toxins in the lungs affect the mind as well. If you wake up every night during this time then it means you have hidden grief. Address the issues to sleep better.

5 A.M.- 7 A.M.: Large Intestines

You may be an early bird but waking up during this time means your large intestine isn’t functioning well. It is helpful in releasing emotional stress and letting go of them. So, if you’ve any emotional block, do a bit of stretching and sleep again.

TCM might have become old but it is still relevant. It helps you understand your issues. Remember, six to eight hours of sleep is crucial and you must sleep well to remain active throughout the day.
