There is a legend which says that the black line on the toothpaste represents the chemicals and the green represent the organic components of the paste. But, the truth is that these lines are actually just bar codes and they don’t have any connection with what is the chemical composition of the toothpaste. These bar codes are used for the machines which produce toothpaste have a line along which mechanically cut tubes.
